AMT has assembled an experienced management team to foster a stable, long-term growth-oriented culture focused on quality. One of the core strengths of AMT is the continuity of the management team; the majority of the management team have worked together for more than 20 years.
R. Thukkaram, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Thukkaram has more than 30 years experience in manufacturing. He previously built an automotive supply company from 18 employees to 800 employees. His basic experience is die-casting and machining. He has work experience in manufacturing companies in India, Denmark, Germany, Canada and USA in varying capacities, all the way from design engineer to CEO. He has written handbooks on die casting, as well as numerous technical articles on tool design and casting design. He is a practitioner of continuous improvement and has developed an individual improvement proposal system, which is being practiced at AMT. He has an Engineering degree from the University of Madras and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin. In 1992, Mr. Thukkaram received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and was named by President Bush as one of the country’s eight outstanding Asian American Citizens.
Michael Skinner, VP & General Manager
Mr. Skinner has more than 20 years experience in aluminum die-casting and machining. In addition he has 15 years of experience in senior executive management positions within various fields. He has an extensive background in the Tier 1 automotive industry and is adept at applying various manufacturing methodologies such as 5s, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing. He holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Purdue University and a Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin.
Jay Thukkaram, Executive Vice President
Mr. Thukkaram has more than 17 years of experience in management of industrial, manufacturing, service, and distribution businesses. His experience has included operating plan development, financial modeling, and transaction execution. Mr. Thukkaram excels at setting strategic priorities, launching systems and process, developing metrics, team building, monitoring financial performance, and oversight on key initiatives. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Bojan Vladusic, Vice President of Sales and Advanced Engineering
Bojan Vladusic has an extensive background in the Tier 1 automotive industry with more than 15 years of machining, programming, assembly, and leak testing experience. He is well versed in lean manufacturing principles and in the casting processes aluminum die casting, green sand casting and permanent mold. Additionally, Mr. Vladusic has five years’ experience in senior management overseeing engineering and sales teams and project management
